Description of Rites
Foundation Rites:
1. Healer’s Rite – This Rite connects you to a lineage of luminous healers from the past to assist you in your personal transformation, awakening your personal healing power. Going forward, everyone you touch is blessed.
2. The Bands of Protection - These are five energetic belts woven around the body with the essence of each element: earth, water, fire, air, and pure light. These bands strengthen our connection with nature and act as filters to dissolve negative energy coming towards us.
3. Harmony Rite – The instillation of archetypes into each of our chakras, to stabilize and strengthen our energy system. These archetypes are drawn from the Andean tradition. They start with the Serpent in the 1st chakra and the move up to Jaguar, Hummingbird, and Eagle. The upper chakras are the Guardians of the three mythical worlds: lower, middle, and upper. They help us heal our past and guide us to a brighter future.**
4. The Seer – It creates energetic connections between the visual cortex, the third eye, and the heart. Going forward, everything we see is processed through both the heart and the mind to infuse it with love and compassion.
Lineage Rites:
5. The Day Keeper - This Rite invites us into a lineage of medicine men and women who bring health and harmony to their communities through their focused prayers, intentions and actions. This Rite cultivates and empowers our relationship to the feminine.
6. The Wisdom Keeper - The wisdom keepers have a deep connection to nature, understanding the cycles and rhythms of life.
7. The Earth Keeper – This Rite invites you into a deeper and broader vision of life on Earth, understanding the consciousness that unites all life. You learn how to take your wisdom and break it down into digestible chunks for those you are teaching.
Rites of the Time to Come
8. Star Keeper - This initiation awakens the perception of our possible future. It anchors our consciousness in the future so that we lucidly create the future we imagine for ourselves. It is the path to creating ourselves as luminous beings.
9. The Creator – Also called the Taitanchis Rantis. This Rite helps us discover our infinite nature and teaches us to dream the world into being. It makes us realize that creating is not only a privilege, but also a responsibility, which must be done with great love and courage.
10. The Rite of the Womb– This Rite is for women only and will be given by my colleague Angharad Picton. This Rite connects women to a lineage of women who freed themselves from suffering. They want us to remember that “the womb is not a place to store fear or pain; the womb is to create and give birth to life. The womb must be a pure vessel as it bears the generations to come.”

** Once the Munay-Ki are done, future workshops will focus on developing a deeper connection with these specific archetypes. See archetype details below.
Serpent
Archetype of the healer in many cultures; the one who teaches us to shed our personal past the way the serpent sheds her skin – the primary life force, the one who dives deep, who knows the way into the secret places inside of ourselves – the one who walks with beauty on the belly of the Mother – the one who knows the way back to the Garden, the place of innocence. The caduceus of medicine.
Jaguar
The jaguar knows the way across the rainbow bridge to the world of mystery – the one who swallows the dying sun, teaching us to step beyond fear, violence and death. The archetypal connection to the life force of the jungle, everything that is green; steward of the life force – the Luminous Warrior who has no enemies in this world or the next – represents the Life/Death principle and renewal.
Ancient Ones and Hummingbird
The ancestors, grandmothers and grandfathers, the ancient memories, the ancient wisdom – the ones who have stepped outside of time but slip through the veils to help us remember the ancient ways – the way of the Hummingbird, who drinks directly from the nectar of life – not built for flight yet undertakes and accomplishes the impossible journey.
Condor/Eagle
The archetype of the rising Sun, the place of our becoming –seeing from high perspective, the vision of clarity and beauty, the great wings of the condor hold the heart, teaches us to see with the eyes of the heart – the one who nudges us out of the nest to spread our own wings so that we may always fly wing to wing with the Great Spirit.
Huascar
Lord of life; Lord of death. Historically, one of the sons of Huayna Capac (the Inka who read the prophecy of bearded men with sticks that spoke with fire, who would turn the world upside down). Huascar is the keeper of the medicine teachings. He became the harmonizing principle of the Lower World – the chaotic dark place of all creative potential. He/she is the renewer of the world. The gift of Huascar is to discover our relationship with our Shadow.
Quetzelcoatl
Lord of the dawn; the Day Bringer, Morning Star. Quetzal is a beautiful jungle bird and Coatl is the serpent. The winged serpent that has acquired flight – the keeper of the middle world, brought irrigation, medicine plants and stonework – walked the Americas, brought music, dance, drums. We can call on Quetzelcoatl to organize our relationship with the Middle World – when you come into relationship with Quetzlcoatl you don't have to micromanage your life.
Pachakuti
Historically, the Inka who was given the prophecy that the world was turning over (coming of the Spanish) – the keeper of the possibilities, organizing principle of the Upper World; embodies the concept of circular time, stepping outside of linear time – makes time stand still – brings heavenly order. Coming into relationship with Pachakuti allows us to recognize our destiny.
You must develop your own relationship with the archetypes and your descriptions should come from your experience.
